✿ TRIANGL Swimwear ✿ Winnie in Miami Mint [Review] [Sponsored] ✿

Dearest FlowerBabies~

How are you all doing?? It's summer time here in the US and we have been having some nice sunny weather!! People are taking time off from school and work to hit California's beautiful golden coast to soak up the sun and show off their cute, trendy swimwear!!

Ironically, even though I live in an area that's considered to have some of the most comfortable weather in the world all year round, I don't actually go out under the sun too often! I tend to burn pretty quickly (always forget to reapply sunscreen) and then the burns leave behind ugly tan lines that will stay with me for FOREVER

However, I was super delighted when the company TRIANGL sent an email to me after seeing my Instagram page and wanted to send me a set of either bikini or underwear of my choice. They didn't ask for anything in return. Not even a photo on my IG was asked of me. However, I am actually really impressed with what I received and that is why I am writing this blog post!

I ended up choosing the Winnie bikini in Miami Mint. Here it is!!

I was so surprised when I received the package. It was a lot bigger than I expected!!
I thought I'd get a small, light-weight package, but instead got something quite hefty for a bikini!

When I opened it, I realized why: The bikini is of amazing quality and is much thicker than I envisioned. Usually when I see bikinis and swimwear for sale in shops, many are quite thin and flimsy. That's why I expected these pieces to be the same way.

Instead, the pieces are thick, well-made, and one feels extremely secure while wearing them.
It is also really, really comfortable :3

I guess I should have expected such superb quality because the prices are not cheap.
The bikini sets range from $79 - $89 USD. The Winnie is $89.

I got my top and bottom in small. Of course you can choose the sizes for both.
Be careful when choosing sizes and make sure to look at the sizing chart because certain styles of bikini and underwear will fit differently.

I really liked the zipper on the Winnie
but I wasn't sure if it was a real working zipper, or just decoration.

After I got it, I now know the answer :]

You may wonder why anyone would want a zipper in the front of their bikini,
but it really can make it easier for you to fasten the top on.

The back fastener is a buckle which makes it more secure.

I find I'm clumsy and it's kind of difficult for me to fasten it from the back with the buckle.
So using the zipper in the front is much more convenient :3

And here is partially the reason for why I was so surprised when the package came!
The reason why it was larger than I expected is because this storage bag came with it!

The bag is made from the same material as the bikini: Neoprene.
It's of extremely good quality and you WILL be using it because it is the nature of neoprene to crease and look strange if not laid flat and carefully stored away when not in use.

We know you want a long and happy life with your new bikini
So we have a few things to tell you:

Neoprene can crease and mark very easily
You should take extra care when wearing and washing your bikini

- Store your bikini flat, as folding them will cause creases
- Hand wash your bikini in cold water after contact with chlorine or salt water and dry them flat
- Do not machine wash or tumble dry
- If creases do form, you can iron them inside out, being careful not to place iron directly on to neoprene"

What do you think of TRIANGL? Have you heard of them or tried their products before?
They are extremely popular on Instagram with over 1,000,000 followers to date.

✿ Asian Impressions x ChocoKittieHK ✿ Plaid and Floral Summer Dresses ✿

Good Morning, Afternoon and Evening to all my Dearest ChocoBunnies!!~

I started my Instagram about two years ago and was blessed to have crossed paths there with one of the most influential figures in my life. That person is @asian_impressions, otherwise known as Teban, or to me, Mr. President :3 Teban does street fashion photography amongst other genres of photography, and has a mission to capture both inner and outer beauty in all his models.

Prior to meeting Teban in person a year ago, I wasn't as confident in front of a camera. I used to only post selfies and never ever liked to take full body shots because I was insecure about the way I looked. After one magical photo session with him, I am now much more confident and self-accepting, and even quite eager to take outfit and fashion shots!
Thank you so much Teban :)

Please take some time to visit Teban's Instagram, Flickr, and Facebook!!
You can see his amazing work there!!

Here are photos from our meet up last week in Summer of 2014 in San Francisco

Of course, none of the photos have been altered except for a filter on top.

Please excuse my hair, it was really windy that day.

I really love the way the expired film and vintage camera combo worked out. The pictures look so vintage and bring about a feeling of sweet nostalgia.

These last photos were taken in San Francisco's historic Chinatown right at the Dragon Gate.
I grew up frequenting this Chinatown with my mom and grandparents, and still go here when I can even though now I am always away from home for university.

When I was younger, coming here used to be a burden. Now I find it addicting and extremely fascinating. That's why I am so happy that I was able to shoot here with Teban.

This is probably one of my favorite shots from Teban that day.

If you take a close look, you'll notice the displaced hairs and the detaching eyelash. These two are products from a long day in San Francisco's windy weather, trekking up and down hills and finding our way into nooks and crannies. Perfection is what we strive for, but it's our imperfections that show our hard work & character.

Thank you so much time and time again, Teban, for showing us true beauty and allowing us to find it within ourselves. xoxo.

☁︎ Case-Mate ☁︎ Refined Collection - Brilliance in Champagne [Review] ☁︎

Good Morning My Dearests!!

I'm super excited because I think I have found my all-time favorite case in the whole wide world!! It's the Case-Mate Brilliance Case in Champagne!!

It's absolutely stunning and I first laid eyes on it while at my local Best Buy, upgrading phones for my brother and daddy. It literally caught my eyes and drew me in. I usually never even pay attention to cases at Best Buy because you can find similar ones on the internet for way cheaper.

However, I couldn't pry my eyes off this one. The price is insanely expensive for a phone case, $80!! But I've been through many phone cases and I really believe that this case deserves to be paid $80 for (if you want the gorgeous, lasting shine and bling that will not fade or fall off). Of course you will be able to find cases with bling on the back at a cheap price, but after time, the bling will either fall off, or start to look drab.

Also, the crystals on this case are genuine crystals, & the leather, genuine leather.
You can literally feel the amazing quality.

Installation Instructions
The case is in two pieces -- it's very secure and will not be coming off unless
you purposely pry it apart.

I've read reviews of people dropping their phones and the case will pop apart upon heavy impact. Both the case and phone were fine.

There is a rubber layer upon which you place your phone (#2 on the installation diagram above) which prevents your phone from being scratched by the plastic. The phone fits very snugly into that area and the top piece (#3) and will not wiggle around.

Honestly, I was very frustrated when taking the photos for this case. The pictures just aren't able to do the case justice! In the photos it looks like a bunch of mini studs, but it's seriously all glimmer to the eyes.

So here's a video I made with Meipai to show you all the glimmer :]
Pay special attention to the end and how shiny it is!!~

So far, none of the crystals have fallen off in my one week of use. I haven't been particularly careful or anything while using it either. I'm just using my phone like normal, as if it is in any other case.

I haven't dropped my phone outside or anything, but the bumper is made of plastic
so if I did, it may crack or at least get scratched.

What do you think about this case? Leave me a comment :) I love hearing feedback!

✿ Kate Spade ✿ Alessa - Berkeley Lane Porcelain ✿

Hi Lovelies!! Long long time no post!!

Today I wanted to show you a bag I purchased recently: Kate Spade's "Alessa" in Berkeley Lane Porcelain!! I really love Kate Spade because the designs are so chic and perfect for young adults. They are also much more affordable than other high-end brand names.

I seem to really like black and white bags :0 because my last Kate Spade bag is black and white also... I guess I'm not very adventurous lol.

I love the top-handles design of this bag. It's also really easy to pair with any outfit.
It comes with a black strap that you can attach to the sides for carrying the bag cross-body or by shoulder, which is REALLY handy. It looks quite cute when worn like that too.

Alessa is currently going for $179 on the website!! It's on sale from the retail price of $378!

Things don't have to cost an arm and a leg to look cute :3
I also love to get bags from Forever 21 and other shops as well!

What do you think of this bag? What's your favorite brand/look?
Thanks so much for reading as always!!

☁︎ YourTea ☁︎ Tiny Tea 14-Day Detox [Review] [Sponsored] ☁︎

Ladies & Gents

Have you ever wanted to try one of those detox programs to fight bloating and to flush out toxins from your system for a more healthy body? Growing up, I always worried about my weight since I am not as skinny as most Asian girls are, and even went through a phase where I purchased herbal weight-loss teas. I tried & LOVED the Triple Leaf Tea's "Dieter's Green" which actually really helped me when I was losing weight.

Nowadays I am much more comfortable in my own skin and haven't been gung-ho about losing weight, but Your Tea's Tiny Tea detox seemed pretty interesting since it boasts cleansing and nourishing your digestive system. That will lead to higher energy levels, lower stomach bloating, and even better, clearer skin!

I've read other's testimonies on the product and people seem to be very pleased with it and it's quite popular. I'm more on the skeptical side. Now, I'm a tea fan and I know that teas are very good for you and some will do the above-mentioned things, but I don't think drinking a tea alone will magically do all those things for you. Having a healthy lifestyle that includes exercise and clean-eating will ultimately really lead to the changes you want.

Anyways, on to YourTea's Tiny Tea Teatox (14 day). This company offers a completely organic range of products and its teas are based on traditional Chinese herb blends. I think they are based in Australia, because on the side of the packaging it says "created by Aussies," but the product itself is manufactured in Hong Kong (fun fact: VitaSoy is an organic product and also manufactured in HK).

✿ What I Think

I really love the eco packaging; it makes me more confident in the product :3 Beautiful packaging automatically makes me think it is a better quality product :P

It says you're supposed to drink this tea twice a day on an empty stomach either half an hour before, or after your meal (for optimal results). I sort of drank it from the morning throughout the rest of the day because that's what I usually do with my other teas :P

People have different opinions on the taste; some love it, some hate it. In my opinion it tastes like traditional Chinese teas you'd get at restaurants (although it does have a more medicinal smell when you inhale it). Maybe like a black tea or pu'er tea. It wasn't really anything special. I don't add sweeteners to my teas, but it says you can add honey or lemon to it to taste if you don't like it.

My Trial Run

** For my 2 week test run, I didn't exercise or change anything about my lifestyle. **
Sorry guys, it was Finals Week >////<

✿ I noticed by the second day that I had much higher energy levels (I usually get sleepy by 11-12 at night, but after drinking this, I didn't even feel tired until 3 am O_O). I was wondering why I couldn't sleep and realized that it was the boost of energy from the tea!! No wonder it says not to take at night :0 I started to limit intake to morning and afternoons.

✿ My skin was CLEARER!! Omg. And this isn't even formulated specifically for clearer skin, but I'm serious :O I have breakouts every once in a while and it gets more noticeable during exam weeks. After I drank this tea for a while, I felt like my breakouts weren't too bad anymore :O It may be a combination of things, but I really think this helped.

✿ As for the non-bloating, I didn't see too much of a difference since I haven't been exercising and have been eating junk to fuel me through studies. However, towards the end of my two weeks, I finished finals and came home where the tea did seem to make a difference!! I lost a couple of pounds, maybe with the combination of mom's healthy home cooking and lack of junk food.

I hope this was helpful to those of you who are thinking about trying this tea out!!
